Hi!

My name is Melanie, and I live in a small town in western PA called Lemont Furnace. I'm 29, wife to a wounded vet, and mom to 2 great girls. We recently moved back to PA after traveling all over the place with the military, and it's SO good to be home!

I joined this forum because it's been a while since I online networked. I used to be with another company, and I spent a lot of time online networking. My family situation changed, and because my family needed me, I stopped networking online almost completely. My business also was going downhill, and while I know I was an independent contractor, I do blame certain situations with my sponsor and my former company for my decline in business. In the Spring, the family situation changed again, and my husband and I decided I needed to do SOMETHING because with his Army career cut short due to injury, we were not going to have his steady income any longer. Seeing as I had enough of my former company, he and I started researching companies to see what would be the best fit for our family. I needed to build a business quickly and make the most amount of money possible in a short amount of time. And so I joined Brown Bag Party in April. BEST business decision I have EVER made, too!

Now that my husband's discharge is complete, and his disability benefits have NOT yet kicked in (thanks to the hurry-up-and-wait nonsense), we're very grateful that our family has my business to support us. And since it's my sole business, my family's income, and basically my full-time business/job now, I'm getting back to networking!

I joined this board a while ago, and I forgot my login and password!! So I do apologize if I already introduced myself in another post. I didn't see one from me, but that doesn't mean I just didn't overlook it. My business has picked up so crazily in the past few weeks, I've had to create new organization methods and time management schedules into my routine... and while I get used to being organized, I am still overlooking small things like whether or not I already introduced myself!

So in a short summary, that's me and why I'm here. I want to network and share ideas with other WAH women so that we can all succeed in business and in life!
